Hike #37 - Bear Hump Trail - Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada

We loved Waterton Lakes National Park so much, we decided to go back and spend another day hiking there.  This park was not crowded and we loved the quaint small town of Waterton.  We had hiked the Crypt Lake Trail a few days prior.  The restaurant Pearls has a hiker's theme and we a great breakfast there.  They offer sandwiches etc. to go.  This short but steep trail (787' elevation gain in just under 1 mile) is one of the most popular trails in all of the mountain parks.  We started early in the morning hoping to see a bear but to no avail.  There are 18 swithchbacks as you near the top.  We had a phenomenal views of the Prince of Wales Hotel, Emerald Bay and Waterton Lake.  We could also see past Waterton Lakes to Glacier National Park in Montana!
