Hike #36 - Johnston Canyon - Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Johnston Canyon is one of the busiest day hikes in the Canadian Rockies.  The trail is well maintained with bridges, iron catwalks and plenty of viewpoints to take great photos.  The sound and views of the water rumbling through the canyon was exciting and relaxing at the same time.  While the trail is only 1.7 miles, it can take time due to the crowds and stopping to take photos. The final waterfall is 40 meters tall and well worth the hike to get there.  We came across a beautiful large elk along the road near the entrance!
